No matter which Don Ramon’s we visit, always the same experience, great food served by great people, always clean restaurants and cooked to perfection! Never had a bad meal, very consistent results ! My wife and I had fajitas , so good and fresh !
Ooookay. I ONLY rate on taste, but let me say this place was aesthetically beautiful and had extremely clean bathrooms! Now, the food: EXCELLENT!!!! I'm super super picky about Mexican food.... EVERYTHING WAS TOP NOTCH!!! WE WILL BE BACK! (yes, the waiter isn't super friendly but who cares???? We tipped him well! He deserved it! He checked on us several times and brought food out promptly.)
First time here. I moved from Texas so I have an understanding of Mexican cuisine. Ordered the shrimp and it was full of flavor and very good. The margarita was Ordered with Patron Anejo and was ok tasted like a bottle premix . Tacos were soft shell instead of hard shell but was quickly corrected. Chips are good and salsa was flavorful and tasty. Guacamole dip was well prepared. Overall, a great experience and we will definitely be back.
I truly love Don Ramon Mayfield location. I've been here many times never had a complaint that I can remember. The food is always hot, fresh, and quick might I add. Drinks could be stronger, but this is still my fav mexican restaurant.
Solid Mexican food, huge menu of options. The space is pretty large...did not need to wait for a table on a Saturday. Nice atmosphere inside. Service was quick and friendly. The menu is huge with some more unique options. Like everything I tried. Drinks were good, solid margaritas and good selection of Mexican beers. Would go back again.
This place is so good that my mom and I start eating fresh tortillas and salsa as soon as we sit down. By the time the entrees arrive, we are fully engrossed in our meal , and I forgot to take pictures. Not only that, the atmosphere is so alluring. The dark wood and beautifully crafted artwork that is all over the establishment depicting scenes in various aspects of Aztec culture is absolutely captivating. (EVEN THE BATHROOMS) The staff is welcoming, polite, and efficient. If I had a stronger constitution, I would be there twice, maybe three times a week. June 13th, 2025 update. This time, I took pictures. I had a very similar dish from my previous order. The garlic tilapia, this time I asked for the peppers on the side and a little less salt. I was delicious.
All 5 stars for stellar food, service, and above all Atmosphere. The restaurant outside looks plain but the inside is well furnished with taste paintings, sculptures, and displays. Also another huge bonus is clean and well maintained restrooms as you can see in the video. 10/10 would suggest to a friend.
Nice touch with the custom Root Beer and ice cream. Food is really good! Convenient parking as well.
